Longtime friends and supporters of Agape, Tom and Cindy Darnell, have joined the Agape family! The Darnells will be serving as Field Representatives to the Dominican Republic. They have been raising funds and waiting for God to open the doors for them to go. As they move through those now wide-open doors, they will spend some time in the States and with Agape preparing for their big move. Plans are set for them to be in the DR by October 15th!
So what is a Field Representative? Did we just make that up? Just a cool title? Well, it is a cool title but it comes with a lot, A LOT, of work. Their role is to help facilitate the needs of the missionaries that Agape serves. That’s all… summed up nicely in one sentence, twenty-one syllables. Let’s break it down as best we can… They will support activities for in-country missionaries, including coordinating airport distributions, maintaining relations with customs and other airport personnel, manage return shipments, manage our pilot accommodations, provide a communications hub for Agape information both coming and going… And in their spare time- they will help encourage fellowship among missionaries, coordinate visits and, although we pray there won’t be, they will be ready and willing in the case of an emergency to be that vital link to the Dominican Republic. I’m sure that still doesn’t even begin to touch the vast responsibilities they will be taking on. I am also sure that we cannot express our gratitude in what will be a wonderful transition to this role and the many years of incredible Agape service they have ahead of them.
In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9
They are truly dedicated to what our mission is and are certainly willing and able to jump in and get to work. We can’t express our gratitude for their willingness to serve as Field Representatives – especially on short notice!

Welcome to the family!
